Only after the last tree has been cut down / Only after the last river has been poisoned / Only after the last fish has been caught / Then will you find that money cannot be eaten."
- prophecy of the Cree
This quote was used very commonly in the 1980’s during the American and West-German environmental movement to catch the attention of a lot of people on their campaign and idea. It tries to show the people that there is a lot more going on in our world than just caring about money. Because if we waste our basic resources like water and food, there will be no way to get them with money. So we have to prevent that to happen by starting doing something against the climate change. If everyone starts in a small way by reducing their use of paper and recycling it, we will save a lot of energy. But the problem is still that not enough people worry about the future of our world or they just think they will be fine so it is not worth to think about it.
